When I sign digital signature in a document, one of my self-created digital ID is forcing me enter password, but I forgot the password since it was set up a couple years ago. How can I reset this?
Solution
There is not any way to recover or reset the digital ID file password once you forgot its current password.
We suggest you delete the digital ID file which you don't know its current password and create a new one since the password protected digital ID can no longer be used to place digital signature anymore without inputting its correct password.
To delete it, please follow the steps below (Take Foxit PDF Editor for an example):
1: Open Foxit PDF Editor, go to "Protect" tab >”Sign & Certify”>”Digital IDs” to bring up the Digital IDs window.
2:In the opened Digital IDs window, please click on the ID which need to be deleted in IDs list, please click on “Remove ID” to get a new message where you could see the location of the digital ID file.
3:Please choose "NO" to close the dialog box, and then manually navigate to the location where is the digital ID file located to delete the file there. For example, the message indicated that the digital ID is from “C:\Users\Lisa\Desktop\lilirong.pfx”,you have to access “C:\Users\Lisa\Desktop” this directory to delete the “lilirong.pfx” file.
