Embedding fonts allows anyone who opens your file to see the document as you intended it to be seen.
Foxit PDF Editor (Pro) supports embedding fonts when converting a non-PDF to PDF document, and supports reprinting an already created PDF file into a new PDF file with fonts embedded, also supports embedding fonts for newly added/edited texts when further editing the document. The following are details approaches:

To reprint an already created PDF file into a new PDF file with fonts embedded
- To embed fonts for the newly added/edited texts after document editing
To embed fonts when converting a non-PDF to PDF document, complete the following steps:
1. Open a file you want to convert to PDF and embed fonts in an appropriate program.
2. Go to File menu, select Print command, select Foxit PhantomPDF Printer or Foxit Reader Printer in the Printer list.
3. Click on Printer Properties, click on Edit button in the General tab.
4. Select Fonts in the pop-up dialog box, choose Embed all fonts and then follow the screen option to make change.
To reprint an already created PDF file into a new PDF file with fonts embedded, complete the following steps:
1. Go to File > Preferences in Foxit Reader/PhantomPDF or hold down Ctrl + K to open the Preferences window. Locate Print tab, uncheck the option Print text as a graphic(ignore font substitution),click on OK to apply the change.
2. Open the PDF with Foxit Reader/PhantomPDF,click on File> Print to open print dialog box, choose Foxit PhantomPDF Printer or Foxit Reader PDF Printer as printer.
3. Click on Properties to open Foxit PDF Printer Properties window, click on Edit button in the General tab.
4. Select Fonts in the pop-up dialog box, choose Embed all fonts and then follow the screen option to make change.
5. Make sure you don’t check Print as image option in print dialog box, click on OK button to print the opened PDF file into a new PDF document.
Note: This feature of "converting an already created PDF file into a new PDF file with fonts embedded" is only available in Foxit Reader/PhantomPDF version 9.0 and plus. In older versions of Foxit Reader/PhantomPDF, PDF file would be converted into new PDF in which all text objects would be in path mode.
To embed fonts for the newly added/edited texts after document editing, complete the following steps:
1:For PDF file with fonts already embedded, you may still need to further edit it. To embed fonts for the newly added/edited texts after document editing, please first turn on the embed fonts after document editing option in preferences dialog box by going to "File"tab in Foxit PDF Editor>"Preferences”>"Documents",check option "Automatically embed fonts whever text is updated or saved" ,click on "OK" to save the setting.
2:With this option selected, the characters (a subset of a font) that are used when you edit text objects or headers/footers in the document will be embedded into the document automatically.
Note:The option "Automatically embed fonts whever text is updated or saved" for embedding fonts after document editing is available in Foxit PDF Editor version 12.0 and greater.
