The Auto-Complete feature stores any entries that you typed in a PDF form field, and then suggests or even automatically enters responses that match your typing in other form fields. The suggestions appear in a pop-up menu, from which you can select a match.
To enable the auto-complete form filling feature,do as follows:
For Foxit PhantomPDF V10 and greator
- In File menu, choose Preferences.
- In Forms panel, select Basic or Advanced from the drop-down list under Auto-Complete.
- Click on OK to apply the change.
Following is an introduction to the functions of the Auto-Complete related options:
Auto-Complete: Auto-Complete includes three options that allow you to turn on or off the auto-complete feature. When enabled,
Foxit PhantomPDF will store your entries and provide relevant suggestions as you fill in an interactive PDF form.
Off: Turn off the auto-complete feature. No suggestion will be provided when you fill in an interactive PDF form.
Basic: Enable auto-complete feature, provide relevant suggestions when you enter a character in the interactive form field.
Advanced: Enable auto-complete feature, provide relevant suggestions when
you enter a character in the interactive form field and also could automatically display a list of
suggestions when you tab into a form field.
Remember numerical data: This option is available when you choose Basic or Advanced in the Auto-Complete drop-down list.
If it is enabled, Foxit PhantomPDF will store numerical entries as well, otherwise, only text entries will be remembered.
Edit Entry list: Remove the saved entries from the auto-complete memory.
For Foxit PhantomPDF V9.7 to V6.0
- In File menu, choose Preferences.
- In Forms panel, check the option Enable Autocomplete.
- Click on OK to apply the change.
