By default, Version 2023.2 and onward of Foxit PDF Editor will include AI Assistant.
This article explains how to disable AI Assistant from Foxit PDF Editor for Windows.

- Deploy Foxit PDF Editor with AI Assistant Disabled
- Manually Disable AI Assistant from the Foxit PDF Editor
Disable AI Assistant using the Admin Console
- In the Foxit Admin Console, navigate to the Products tab
- Under Product Configuration, select Configuration for editor products
- Click on the Feature Settings tab and select Foxit PDF Editor Windows
- AI Assistant can be deselected to remove access from all users, or checked while allowing specific users to access this feature
Disable AI Assistant using the Foxit Customization Wizard tool
- Navigate to Plugin options of the Foxit Customization Wizard tool
- Check AI Assistant to disable
Disable AI Assistant using the Registry Editor
Navigate to key:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Continuous\plugins\Installed\FoxitInnerPluginAiAssistant
Set value for DWORD Load Behavior to "0" in the Registry Editor
Or run the following command in an elevated Command Prompt:
For Current User:
Reg.exe add "HKCU\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Continuous\plugins\Installed\FoxitInnerPluginAiAssistant" /v "LoadBehavior" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
For Local Machine:
Reg.exe add "HKLM\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor\Continuous\plugins\Installed\FoxitInnerPluginAiAssistant" /v LoadBehavior /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Disable AI Assistant using GPO
- Open Group Policy
- Navigate to Foxit PDF Editor
- Select Plugins
- Click on Remove Plugins and enable to select AI Assistant
Manually Disable AI Assistant from the Foxit PDF Editor
- Open the Foxit PDF Editor and navigate to the Help tab
- Select Foxit Plug-Ins
- Set AI Assistant to Off and click Ok
