If you have a perpetual license for a previous version of Foxit (for example Foxit PDF Editor 11.x), you could upgrade to its minor version for free any time (e.g. upgrading from 11.0 to 11.2). However, a major version upgrade (e.g. upgrading from 11.0 to 12.0) ,you needs to pay full price to purchase new license for the latest version if you don’t have active Upgrade Assurance. If you haven’t decided to purchase new license for most current version yet, you can still keep using your existing license to activate its matched previous version installer without any limitation. To keep using your licensed previous version, please do the following steps:
- If you have any major version installed that your license cannot work with it, please uninstall it.
- Please refer to the instructions mentioned in this article to deactivate your license from the previous installation if you are transferring your license to a new machine.
- Please refer to this article to download the matched version installer that corresponds to your license, and install it.
- Activate the newly installed software with the same registration key.
