I have Foxit PDF Editor activated on my computer and I just paid price to upgrade from Editor to Editor Pro edition from Foxit upgrade portal. However, I downloaded and reinstalled the Foxit application and it still comes up as Editor, not editor pro. How could I get Foxit PDF Editor upgraded to Editor Pro edition on my computer？
Solution:
When you upgrade your Foxit PDF Editor license from Editor edition to Editor Pro edition, Foxit usually will not issue you a brand new activation code, but will upgrade your original activation code to make it be able to activate the Foxit PDF Editor into Editor Pro edition.
If the currently activated Foxit PDF Editor on your computer is already the most current version, you don't need to uninstall it, you just need to deactivate the license from your Foxit PDF Editor and then use the activation code to reactivate it again by doing the following:
1: Open the activated Foxit PDF Editor on your computer, go to Help menu, click on Deactivate, click on OK to accept the change.
2:Please open Foxit PDF Editor, you’ll see Foxit PDF Editor activation window, click Activate to open the activation dialog box. If you are able to launch Foxit PDF Editor directly without getting the activation window, please click Help menu > Activate, then the activation procedures will start. Copy and paste your registration key to the box under Perpetual License in the pop-up Foxit PDF Editor Activation window, and click Activate.
If the currently activated Foxit PDF Editor is an older version,you need to deactivate license from the old version firstly,then please install the latest version and activate the newly installed version with activation code. Please do the following:
1: Open the activated Foxit PDF Editor on your computer, go to Help menu, click on Deactivate,click on OK to accept the change.
2:Uninstall the older version from your device,download and install the newest version of Foxit PDF Editor.To know how to get the latest version download link,please refer to this article.
3:Please open the newly installed Foxit PDF Editor application, you’ll see Foxit PDF Editor activation window, click Activate to open the activation dialog box. Copy and paste your registration key to the box under Perpetual License in the pop-up Foxit PDF Editor Activation window, and click Activate.
(Note: if you forgot to deactivate the license before removing the old version, please manually delete the local license key file "fpmkey.txt" which is under the previous installation folder where you have installed the old version,somewhere like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor ,then please contact Foxit Support team by submitting a Ticket and provide them with the registration code and the PC name of the machine which are needed for deactivation, Foxit support will help you to deactivate the license information from your corresponding machine.)
To check if you have activated and upgraded your Foxit PDF Editor into Editor Pro edition, please select Help > About Foxit PDF Editor to see if Foxit PDF Editor Pro these words and your name will appear in the pop-up window.
