You can verify domains in the following two methods:
-
HTTPS — Upload an TXT file to the root folder of your domain's website.
-
DNS record — Create a TXT record to your domain name system (DNS). (Recommended)
Verify over HTTPS
-
Go to Admin Console portal, navigate to User ID Management > Settings > Directory Setting > Verify Domain.
-
From the HTTPS tab, download the foxit-domain-verification.txt file.
-
Go to your domain's webserver, upload the TXT file to the root directory.
-
Return to the Domains page, and click Verify domain.
-
Select HTTPS, enter the your domain in the Domain field, and click Verify domain.
Note:The format is yourdomain.com, Not http://yourdomain.com or https://yourdomain.com
Note that: Please visit example.com/Foxit-domain-verification.txt in the browser and check if the value of Foxit-domain-verification=xxxx is correct. If correct, the domain validation is successful. Please do not delete the Foxit-domain-verification.txt file from your domain, for security reasons we check the verification file regularly.
Verify over DNS
After verification is successful, we'll periodically check your DNS host for the txt record.
-
Go toAdmin Console portal, navigate to User ID Management > Settings > Directory Setting > Verify Domain.
-
From the DNS tab, copy the txt record to your clipboard.
-
Go to your DNS host and find the settings page for adding a new TXT record.
-
Select the option for adding a new record and paste the txt record to the Value field (may be named Answer or Description).
-
Your DNS record may have the following fields:
-
Record type: 'TXT'
-
Name/Host/Alias: Leave the default that is set for your organization(It will typically be @ or blank)
-
Time to live (TTL): '86400' or other time you want
-
-
Save the record.
-
Return to the Domains page and click Verify domain.
-
Select TXT Record, enter your domain in the Domain field, and click Verify domain.
- The next step is to wait, maybe 72 hours. Because it may take up to 72 hours for your domain to complete verification. You can use https://dnschecker.org/ to check that your domain DNS resolution is working. If you can see the "Foxit-domain-verification=" record, it means that DNS resolution has taken effect.
Once the DNS resolution is in effect, Click Verify to verify your domain until verification is successful.
10. If the verification is successful, it will change the status to verified as shown below.
