Reminders and Expiration Overview
Reminders can be used to send another Document Invitation to recipients either manually or after a set period of time. Expiration settings can be used to automatically void documents after a set period of time.
Reminder & Expiration settings may be changed on an account-wide, document, or template-specific level.
💡Tip!
Document and Template specific reminder or expiration settings will override any account-wide setting.

How to send reminders/expiration notifications automatically and how to manually send reminders.
Enabling Automatic Reminders
- Access Reminder and Expiration settings under the Settings tab.
2. Enable Automatic Reminders by selecting Yes.
3. Customize the reminder intervals and total reminders to be sent to recipients
4. Click Save.
Automatic Reminders Template
Automatic Reminders will utilize the default email template when enabled for a Foxit eSign account. The default email template can be changed via the Email Templates tab under Settings tab.
To change the default template
- Access Email Templates from the Settings tab.
- Select All Invitation Email Templates.
- Create New or select a pre-existing template.
- Check the Mark this template as default box.
5. Click Save.
Enabling Automatic Expiration
- Find the Reminder and Expiration feature under the Settings tab.
2. Enable by selecting Yes.
3. Set the automatic Expiration Day after the envelope is sent and when the Warning Day Before Notification should be sent to recipients
4. Click Save.
Enabling Automatic Reminders & Expiration for Specific Documents or Templates
1. Access the document or template in Draft Mode
2. Click on More Actions.
3. Click on Advanced Sending Options.
4. Enable or change the Automatic Reminders or Expiration settings for the individual document or template.
