Description:
When I tried to use Foxit eSign feature within Foxit PDF Editor, the Foxit PDF Editor brought up a message which asked me to subscribe license though I have already activated the Foxit PDF Editor.
Reason and solution:
Since Foxit PDF Editor V11.2.0, Foxit has integrated the Foxit eSign feature into the English version of Foxit PDF Editor,it is a new on-cloud based eSignature service product that you could learn more about it from this page.
Foxit eSign is an individual fee-based product that is separate from the Foxit PDF Editor application,it requires independent licensing to activate it within Foxit PDF Editor. That is the reason when the free trial for Foxit eSign service on your account expired, the licensed Foxit PDF Editor application would prompt a message to ask you to subscribe.
To continue using the Foxit eSign service within Foxit PDF Editor, please click on "Subscribe Now" button in the pop-up message to subscribe it or you may also choose to subscribe Foxit eSign from Foxit eSign page.
If you don't plan on subscribing to the Foxit eSign yet, you may refer to choose one of the following approaches to add ink signature or digital signature which features are available as long as the Foxit PDF Editor application itself has been activated.
The first approach: Add image-based ink signature:
- For versions starting with V11.2.0 but lower than V12.0,please refer to this article to know how to use Foxit ink sign feature under Foxit eSign tab.
- For version 12.0 and greater, click on "Protect"tab>"Fill&Sign" feature to bring up "Fill&Sign" tab where you could create/add ink signature in PDF file.
The second approach: Go to "Protect" tab>"Sign&Certify">"Place signature" to add digital signature.
