Note: FPM Key is no longer a recommended Activation Method. Instead, we recommend assigning licenses using our new Admin Console. If you are interested in moving to the console, please contact you sales representative.

Repackage MSI installer with new key
- Using the Foxit Customization Wizard, you can generate a new MSI installer with the updated fpmkey.txt file. Then, use your preferred deployment software to update the existing installation in your environment.
Run Replacement Script
- The "fpmkey.txt" lives under the installation directory of our PDF Editor. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor"
- You can create a script to copy and paste the new fpmkey.txt file over the old existing license key in the Foxit PDF Editor installation folder.
Q: Why would I need to change my FPM Key?
A: FPM Keys are version sensitive, a v10.x FPM Key will not work with v11.x

A: Foxit's Admin Console makes it much easier to manage your licenses with a centralized license management portal where you can add users manually or by connecting to SSO and Active Directory.
