IT Admins can follow the steps below to enable the Trust All Root Certificates, and Automatic Foxit Approved trusted List settings in Foxit PDF Editor for all your end-users during deployment.
To enable two Windows Integration in Foxit PDF Editor to allow trust all root certificates.
Navigate to registry: key "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor 11.0\Signature"
Change the value of "ValidateCertifiedDoc" and "ValidatingSignatures" to "1"
That will enable both of those settings:
Foxit Approved trusted List, comes enabled by default in Foxit PDF Editor. No actions needed here.
We recommend enabling the following GPO settings as well:
- Require password to use signatures: adds an additional layer of security by prompting end-users to unlock their certificate before they can use it to sign.
- Enable creating self-signed digital IDs: by disabling this option you will forbid the end-users ability to create their own Digital ID.
