Since version 8.0 of Foxit PhantomPDF/Foxit Reader ( it is rebranded into Foxit PDF Editor/Foxit PDF Reader), you are able to open all PDF files with navigation panels hidden by doing as follows:
1. Go to "File"menu in Foxit PDF Editor/Foxit PDF Reader > "Preferences" > "History" > uncheck"Restore last view settings when reopening" > click"OK"to save the setting.
2. Open any PDF file, press"F4" in Foxit PDF Editor/Foxit PDF Reader to hide the navigation panels. Then all of the other PDF files that you open next time will be opened with navigation panels hidden.
Note: F4 is not supported in Foxit Reader for Linux. You may go to View > Navigation Panels >uncheck all the options there.
