To remove the updater plugin, follow one of the methods below:
1. Use GPO. See this topic for details.
2. Use the XML Controls. Open Foxit Customization Wizard, do one of the following:
a) Import an existing “profstore.xml” file, go to the Plugins tab, and check the check box beside Updater, click on Save or Export to save it.
b) If you don’t have an existing “profstore.xml” file, go to Plugins tab, do configurations, click on Export to generate an XML file.
Note: the “profstore.xml” file should be placed under the following path:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit ProductName\ProfStore”

3. Run the following command in an elevated Command Prompt:
Reg.exe add "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor 12.0\plugins\Updater" /v "UpdateMode" /t REG_SZ /d "0" /f
Reg.exe add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Foxit\PDFEditor\Plugins" /v "Updater" /t REG_SZ /d "Updater.fpi" /f
