If you meet one of the following installation situations:

The cabinet file 'media1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. (If this is your first time install Foxit application and meet this problem, firstly check MD5 value of the setup file to ensure it was not unintentionally corrupted. See Fig 1.

The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Setup.msi" in the box below. See Fig 2.

A later version of the Foxit PDF Editor has already been installed. If you want to install this version, please uninstall the current version.

The installation appears to succeed, but the application is nowhere to be found on the machine, nor it is listed under Programs and Features.

All the above situations are considered as caused by an uncomplete removal of the previous installation information. Try one of the following solutions to work through the case.
1. Try the solution introduced in this article;
2. If the above method doesn't work, use Registry Editor to delete related registry data. Instructions as follows:
For Foxit PDF Editor
Exit any running application, and complete the following:
1) Open Registry Editor;
2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Foxit Software\Foxit PDF Editor, locate GUID, copy its data value, for example {E6A33A48-28B9-11E7-B3E9-000C29BAA35B}
3) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, press down CTRL+F, paste the above data into the search box to find the value;
4) Delete the value you found in step#3.

Note: Since version 11.0, Foxit PhantomPDF has been renamed as Foxit PDF Editor.
For Foxit PDF Reader
1) Open Registry Editor;
2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, locate Foxit Reader_is, right click on it and choose Delete to delete it.
