For Foxit PhantomPDF V10 and Foxit PDF Editor.
Since Foxit PhantomPDF v10 and Foxit PDF Editor,the Save As Default checkbox on the Foxit PhantomPDF Printer properties dialog box was removed, and the default printer setting is not like 9.x and earlier version which via FoxitPhantomPrinterProfile.xml in the AppData folder.
In Foxit PhantomPDF v10 and Foxit PDF Editor, the default printer setting includes setting via the Print Preferences of Foxit PhantomPDF Printer in Control Panel and XML file in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software\PDF Creator\PH\SettingTemplate
If users need to set/change the default properties, users need to set/change via the steps below:
Go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound >View devices and printers, find the Foxit PhantomPDF Printer / Foxit PDF Editor Printer in the printers list, right click on Foxit PhantomPDF Printer / Foxit PDF Editor Printer and select Printing Preferences in the pop-up context menu to open the Foxit PhantomPDF Printer Properties/ Foxit PDF Editor Printer Printing Preferences dialog .
For the settings in the two dialogs below, users can set/change the setting directly.
The settings are saved in the following register:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\DevModePerUser
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\DevModes2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\PDF Creator (The Target folder is saved in this registry key).
For the default conversion setting from the Default Settings drop-down menu, users can choose from the Default Settings setting list.
Users can also edit and save as a new conversion setting.
The newly created conversion setting xml file is saved in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software\PDF Creator\PH\SettingTemplate
Those pre-defined conversion settings are saved in C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Foxit PDF Editor\Setting
Note: Changing the printer properties via the other methods such as choosing the Foxit PDF Editor printer when printing via other applications, the setting is just available in the current printing.
For Foxit PhantomPDF v9.7 and earlier versions
1.When you print any document via Foxit PhantomPDF Printer, please click on Properties beside the Name of Foxit PhamtomPDF Printer in the Print dialog box,
2. In General tab, check Save as Default.
