How to Set Up the WorkItemHandler

The WorkItemHandler, a critical component in the Rendition Server, facilitates the handling of attachments within input files. It plays a crucial role in creating work items from incoming conversion requests and scheduling their processing on Worker Nodes. The Rendition Server includes various standard Work Item Handlers, each serving specific functionalities. This guide outlines the steps to set up the WorkItemHandler in the Rendition Server environment after downloading the Themis Package sent by the Rendition Server support team. 

Setting Up WorkItemHandler in Rendition Server:

MANAGING NODE:

1. Replace the AssemblyLineTypes.user.xml: Replace the existing AssemblyLineTypes.user.xml with the one delivered in the themis package.

2. Copy WorkItemHandler folder: Copy the 'WorkItemHandler' folder from the themis package into the Rendition Server installation folder.

3. Update AssemblyLineTypes.user.xml: Add the content of the AssemblyLineTypes.user.xml file from the themis package into the existing AssemblyLineTypes.user.xml located in the Rendition Server's installation folder.

4. Update ManagingNodeConfig.user.xml: Update the ManagingNodeConfig.user.xml file, adding the path of themis (e.g., <C:\Program Files\Foxit\Rendition Server\workitemhandler\themis>) to the AssemblySource.

5. Update ConversionProperties.user.xml: Replace the content of the ConversionProperties.user.xml file in the Rendition Server installation folder with the content from the ConversionProperties.user.xml file in the themis package.

WORKER NODE:

1. Copy custom station folder: Copy the 'custom_station' folder from the themis package into the Rendition Server installation path.

2. Update WorkerNodeConfig.user.xml: On the machine where the WorkerNode is installed, open the WorkerNodeConfig.user.xml file, and add the path for the custom_station and 'Themis.Stations.dll' as the assemblyName.
