To improve the user experience of converting Word documents into accessible PDFs, users are now able to convert their documents to PDF/UA compliant directly through Foxit PDF plugin in Microsoft Office or inside Foxit PDF Editor (Ver2023.2 & Ver13). Here are the detailed ways to realize the feature.
1. Convert an Office document to PDF/UA compliant through Foxit PDF Plugin MS Office.
Select the “Foxit PDF” tab> Advanced in Microsoft Office, it will pop out the Foxit PDF Editor Add-in window. Select PDF/UA-1 from the drop-down list of default settings, then click OK to convert.
2. Convert an Office document to PDF/UA compliant inside the Foxit PDF Editor program.
Go to the “Convert” tab > From Files-> Converting to PDF Settings. It will pop out the Converting to PDF dialog, choose the corresponding MS Office to convert, select PDF/UA-1 from the drop-down list of Foxit PDF Editor settings, and click OK.
3. Batch Convert Office documents to PDF/UA compliant by Action Wizard inside the Foxit PDF Editor program.
Access to File > Action Wizard > Action > Make accessible ( PDF/UA-1 ), the document will be opened in Foxit PDF Editor. At the right side of the Run Action panel, you can add documents to batch convert. Then click start to convert the selected documents to PDF/UA-1.
