First, you need to create a user with administration rights on Windows that have all the permissions for read, write, delete, update and even change files attributes for the directory you want to use as input, output and post-processing folders
- Then open the PDF Compressor
- click on File → Options → Service → Select 'This account'
- Enter username and password → Press OK
Another way to insert the access data for the service account is using the PDF_CompressorConfig.exe places in the installation directory C:\Program Files\Foxit\PDF Compressor
Make right-click on the application and click on run as administrator
And insert the service account and password. The good thing about this way to set up the service account is that you can even check if the username and the domain and written correctly
A third way to add the service account is over the Windows service app. Click on start, type service
Then search for <Foxit PDF Compressor Service> → make right click → Properties
Make click on Log On → Add the username for the service account → enter password → enter password again → OK
The service will run in the background and files can be automatically converted without user interaction.
