Starting from Foxit PDF Editor/Reader V12.1, we have redesigned the mini-toolbar which would pop up when selecting an annotation or making an annotation in a PDF file.
The mini-toolbar allows you to perform further operations (modify properties, open pop-up notes, etc.) right after an annotation is created or selected.
By default, the floating toolbar appears right after you create an annotation. If you don't want the floating toolbar to appear upon a comment creation, please go to File tab > Preferences > Commenting, and deselect the option "Pop up floating toolbar after comments created",click on "OK" to save the setting.
Note： With the option "Pop up floating toolbar after comments created" deselected, the mini-toolbar won't appear when creating an annotation,but the mini-toolbar will still appear when selecting an annotation.
Starting from Foxit PDF Reader V2023.3 and Foxit PDF Editor V13.0/V2023.3, please uncheck the option "Show floating toolbar when comments are created or selected" under the Commenting tab in the Preferences dialog box. This will prevent the mini-toolbar from appearing when you create or select an annotation.
(Note: The Foxit PDF Editor V13.0 has already been released, while Foxit PDF Editor/Reader V2023.3 has not been released yet and is the next version to be launched.)
