While trying to access Docusign plugin under the Protect tab from within Foxit PhantomPDF,you will receive the following error message :
Docusign no longer supports Internet Explorer 11.Update your browser to continue.
The same issue will still persist no matter which web browser you choose as default on your system.
Foxit PhantomPDF program provides a preset built-in browser for accessing the Docusign webpage within Foxit application by default. In Foxit PhantomPDF v10 or earlier, its built-in browser is based on IE (Internet Explorer) kernel. However, the Docusign website itself has stopped working with IE web browser since the first half of 2022. In other words, the Docusign website cannot be compatible with IE web browser anymore. That is the reason as long as you use Foxit PhantomPDF Version 10 or lower to visit the DocuSign webpage, an error message of unsupported browser will appear.
Starting from Foxit PDF Editor Version 11, its embedded browser kernel has been changed from IE web browser to Google Chrome web browser, so Foxit PDF Editor V11 or higher version are able to access the Docusign feature under the Protect tab.
The first solution: Uninstall Foxit PhantomPDF version 10 or earlier,download and install the latest Foxit PDF Editor from this page, and refer to this article to install the Docusign plugin for Foxit PDF Editor application. Then you will be able to access Protect >DocuSign in the latest version of Foxit PDF Editor to use the Docusign signature service. The second solution: If you don’t plan to upgrade to the latest version of Foxit PDF Editor for the time being, it is recommended that you switch to DocuSign website by accessing it in web browser for signing PDF document. Download the signed file after the signature is completed. Then further use the Foxit PhantomPDF to open the signed PDF file and continue editing the document in Foxit PhantomPDF.
